MOVE Video Encoder Acceleration Coprocessorask ARM
*
*

The MOVE Video Encoder Acceleration Coprocessor is an optimised hardware component, which is designed to greatly speed up the process of Motion Estimation. This is achieved by implementing a Sum of Absolute Differences engine as a standard ARM Coprocessor. The Coprocessor is API compatible with the Motion Estimation (SAD) component that is a part of the Encoder Components. Use of the Coprocessor achieves performance gains of up to 50% over the equivalent software component, with consequent savings in power consumption.

The coprocessor is delivered as synthesisable VHDL and Verilog, together with a complete set of verification test benches and comprehensive documentation.
