EEMBC Certification ECL Certified EEMBC Benchmark Scores | | ARM is proud to announce the first certification and publication of an embedded-IP processor core across all five of the EEMBC benchmark suites. The ARM1020E™ enables innovative SoC designs to deliver the real-world performance required by today's complex and demanding embedded applications. These new levels of power and area efficiency, code density, and performance are complemented by the industry's broadest range of compatible applications, software and hardware development tools, consulting services, training, and operating systems that together generate a decisive time-to-market advantage for our partners. Running at 325MHz in a widely available 0.13µm process, the ARM1020E delivers the following consolidated scores out-of-the-box: EEMBC Benchmark Suite | ARM1020E at 325MHz | Telecommunications | 4.14 Telemarks™ | Office Automation | 206 OAmarks™ | Automotive/Industrial | 120 Automarks™ | Consumer | 19.3 Consumermarks™ | Networking | 5.42 Netmarks™ |
These certified scores, delivered without any costly and time-consuming software or hardware optimization, demonstrate the real-world performance leadership of the ARM architecture. By delivering the industry's widest range of process portable and code compatible microprocessors, developers can choose the precise ARM core that meets their specific performance, power, and cost targets without compromise. The ARM Developer Suite™ , used on the certification, provides a complete software development solution for creating applications for the ARM architecture.
The ARM1020E processor incorporates the ARM10E™ integer core, 32K instruction and data caches, a memory management unit, and dual 64-bit AMBA TM interconnect-compliant AHB interfaces. Implementing the ARMv5TE instruction set, the ARM1020E core includes a pipelined 16 x 32-bit multiplier capable of single-cycle MAC operations. Target applications include next-generation handheld products, digital consumer products, and automotive and industrial control systems.
