Soft Macro Models for the Versatile product family

The ARM® Versatile™ family is now discontinued and only available for a last time buy while stocks last. This range of development boards has been superseded by the Versatile™ Express family.  

A Soft Macro Model is an FPGA implementation of an ARM processor, built with ARM development boards. The binary image is protected by the FPGA's built-in encryption mechanism, so the addition of any custom peripheral IP would require an extra LogicTile to be added to the development sytem.

One type of SMM is currently available in the Versatile range:

• SMM Cortex™-A8 - Based on the LT-XC5VLX330 LogicTile. This SMM must be paired with an Emulation Baseboard, or mounted on a custom baseboard.
