Upgrades and Updates Upgrades are full version increment changes, for example RealView® Development Suite 2.2 to RealView Development Suite 3.0. Typically they contain major new functionality and features, as well as other improvements. Updates are increment version changes only, for example RealView Development Suite 3.0 to RealView Development Suite 3.1. These typically contain defect fixes, and limited functional improvements only, such as minor enhancements to core support. Important Note
Please be aware that if you obtain a new version of the tools as an upgrade or update to an existing licensed seat of an earlier version, you must delete the previous license key from all relevant computers and license servers as a condition of using the new version. This is because the new license is a replacement seat, not an additional seat, and acquisition of the new license automatically terminates the old one. Use of the old license key in that situation is not authorized by ARM and may infringe the intellectual property of ARM and its licensors. ARM reserves the right to take whatever action (including legal action) it sees fit in respect of any such unauthorized use. If you require an extra seat please purchase a new seat license (not an update or upgrade). RealView Development Suite Permanent License Upgrades and Updates Discounts for upgrades or updates from your current tools may be available. Rates will depend upon your current tools version, the new tools version, and the status of your support and maintenance contract. RealView ICE Upgrade Policy Discounts for upgrades or updates from your current version of the RealView ICE run control unit may be available. Rates will depend upon your current version, the new version, and the status of your support and maintenance contract. RealView Multi-ICE Upgrade Policy If you have a valid Support and Maintenance contract, Multi-ICE® version 2.2 is available from your supplier free of charge. Please contact the original supplier of your Support and Maintenance contract quoting one of the following forms of verification: Multi-ICE invoice, purchase order or serial number(s).
