*

The ARM® RealView® Developer Kit for Oki, specifically configured for Oki's MCU family, is a comprehensive tools package for writing, compiling, debugging and integrating systems for the OKI ARM7TDMI® core-based advantage microcontroller™ family of products. This toolkit is based on components of the ARM RealView development solution, with functionality tailored to the specific requirements of OKI products and is aimed at designers seeking 32-bit CPU performance at a price that is highly competitive with 8-bit and 16-bit products.

The RealView developer tools solution for Oki is based upon ARM’s RealView Developer Suite  technology; specifically:

  • A targeted ARM and Thumb® C compiler
  • A powerful GUI-based targeted debugger
  • A targeted RealView ICE Micro Edition, JTAG debug interface, that provides JTAG run control through a standard 8 MHz JTAG TAP at data rates of 100 KB/second

Specific optimizations are provided for the ARM7 TM  architecture delivering even further gains in code speed and size.

A targeted C++ compiler is also available as an upgrade option.

Targeted C Compiler Main Features

  • Industry-leading code size optimization
  • Industry-leading code performance optimization
  • Compilation for both 16-bit Thumb and 32-bit Thumb ARM instruction sets
  • Selectable debug and optimization levels
  • Powerful macro assembler for ARM and Thumb instructions
  • Produces images suitable for the supplied targeted debugger only

Targeted Debugger Main Features

  • Source level debugger for C, assembler or both interleaved
  • Fast GUI, with command line option
  • Integrated editor and project manager
  • OS Aware debugging
  • Consumes images from the accompanying targeted C compiler and ARM Developer Suite compiler
  • Command Line Interface and Script support

The targeted debugger offers Extended Target Visibility allowing enhanced visibility of memory mapped peripherals for the following evaluation boards:

  • UNIQUE ML674000 Evaluation Board with SST flash,
  • OKI ML674000 CPU Board with Toshiba flash

The RealView Developer Kit for Oki is compatible with all devices in the Oki uPLAT 7B/7C and 7D ranges including:

  • OKI - ML674000
  • OKI - ML674001/Q4002/Q4003
  • OKI - ML675001/Q5002/Q5003

Supported Platforms
Windows Me, XP Professional, 2000 (sp1 or later) and 98SE
