ARM Active Assist provides a set of targeted on and off-site team assistance packages designed to accelerate the adoption
of ARM expertise, get teams designing faster and communicating more effectively, reduce design iteration, and help build confidence
in final designs.
The customized deployment services offered within the Active Assist service can be acquired in distinct service packages tailored
to meet different project demands. These packages range from complete front-to-back project assistance from team set-up through
architectural specification and design sign-off, to one-off engagements including assessment of project set-up, architectural
design review, or on-site help with prototype board bring-up.

- With ARM product and deployment training tailored to project needs
- Establish a common "design language" for later stages
- Develop Project Management & Lead Architect confidence in ARM IP subsystem optimization
As-is analysis
- When to use: before architecture is locked down
- Duration: 1 to 2 days onsite, report the following week
- Helps your team:
- Perform technical negotiation on the specifications
- Identify potential design issues, and provides best-practice solutions
- Sanity checks against unrealistic expectations, and design inefficiencies
- With a solid record of analysis, engineering actions and milestones
Project monitoring
- When to use: between architecture freeze and tape-out
- Duration: project length, up to one year
- Helps your team:
- Have security in having ARM IP specialists as & when needed
- Manage contact with ARM Engineering through a single responsible point
- Identify project-specific issues early and remedy them quickly
- Enhance the escalation process for the ARM IP and SW support team
- Eliminate knowledge gaps through web-hosted training
Design review
- When to use: before sending final code to manufacture
- Duration: 1 to 2 days onsite, report the following week
- Helps your team:
- Sanity check their design against best-practices before committing to tape-out
- Have design and verification check-lists written by ARM IP specialists
- Prevent design errors and inefficiencies during implementation
- With a solid record of analysis, engineering actions and milestones
Debug bring-up
- When to use: return of test silicon, or FPGA prototype
- Duration: 1 to 2 days onsite, 2 weeks follow-up support
- Helps your team:
- Assistance with setting up ARM debug environment for test chip
- With real-time assistance for Software engineers from ARM debug specialist
- Establish an ARM debug environment & replication
