Overview:

The ARM Cortex®-A processor series provides a range of application processors for the high performance, mid-range and high efficiency applications. The Cortex-A series includes the high performance processors (Cortex-A57, Cortex-A15), mid-range processors (Cortex-A12, Cortex-A9) and the high efficiency processors (Cortex-A53, Cortex-A7 and Cortex-A5). These processors are used in a wide range of applications ranging from smartphones, mobile computing platforms, digital TV and set-top boxes through enterprise networking, printers and server solutions.

This webinar will focus on the high efficiency Cortex-A processors (Cortex-A5, Cortex-A7 and Cortex-A53). The webinar will further provide technical insights for building energy efficient SoCs based on  these processors for high end mobile using big.LITTLE, low cost smartphones, power constrained embedded and enterprise applications.

Who should attend:

  • Designers and managers interested in knowing key highlights of the high-efficiency ARM processors – Cortex-A5, Cortex-A7 and Cortex-A53
  • Designers and managers interested in knowing about building energy-efficient SoCs using these processors

Walk away points:

  • Introduction to Cortex-A5, Cortex-A7 and Cortex-A53 processors
  • Key differences between high efficiency application processors
  • Designing energy efficient SoCs using Cortex-A5, Cortex-A7, Cortex-A53 and relevant system-IP
  • Example systems using these processors
    • Entry level smartphones SoC
    • High end embedded SoC
    • big.LITTLE based SoC for high end mobile

Presenter: Kinjal Dave, CPU Product Manager, ARM

Kinjal Dave is a CPU Product Manager at ARM. Kinjal is responsible for managing the high efficiency range of Cortex-A class processor products, such as Cortex-A5, Cortex-A7 and future roadmap processors.  Kinjal joined ARM in 2007and worked on hardening ARM CPUs in the processor implementation team before taking on a product management role of ARM CPUs in 2012. Prior to ARM, he worked with Cadence, India as a Product Engineer.  Kinjal holds a Masters degree in Information & Communication Technology from DAIICT, Gandhinagar.
