Get a Head Start on Development
A Soft Macrocell Model (SMM) is an FPGA version of an Arm processor built on a daughterboard that can be mounted on the V2M-P1 motherboard to form an off-the-shelf development system. It provides a fully functional, tested example of an Arm processor even if no hard silicon is available from a foundry.
Take advantage of Soft Macrocell Models of Cortex-R5 to accelerate development for this processor.
Complete your system by plugging additional LogicTile Express daughterboards directly into the SMM motherboard.
As no SDRAM is provided on the V2M-P1 motherboard, a SODIMM memory module is generally provided on the SMM.

Juno Arm Development Platform
The Juno Arm Development Platform is an open, vendor-neutral development platform comprised of a Armv8-based SoC on a Versatile Express development board with a reference software port available from Linaro.
LogicTile Express is the plug-in FPGA daughterboard for the Juno Arm Development Platform as well as for SMM-based prototypes. Use it to debug and optimize custom ASIC IP alongside Arm processors and other Arm IP.
Second-generation high-performance debug probe, enabling maximum visibility into Arm processors with 2.4 Gbps parallel trace over 4 pins. Streams trace data directly to host PC, and includes system auto-detection with Arm Development Studio and a wide range of target connectors.
Arm Development Studio
Designed alongside Arm processors, CoreSight IP, and debug hardware, Arm Development Studio is a suite of tools for embedded C/C++ software development on any Arm-based SoC, featuring editor, compilers, debugger, and system profiler.
