The AMBA Designer tool provides a single common front end to PrimeCell fabric IP peripherals and other ARM IP, and promotes optimal system configuration through a modeling-first approach. As a tool, AMBA Designer provides a means to define the configuration parameters for the fabric IP and output configured Verilog RTL in IP-XACT encapsulated format.

To ensure that the configuration chosen is capable of meeting high-level system objectives, AMBA Designer links to all major third party Verilog simulation tools.  The simulation is driven by ARM Adaptive Verification IP.

AMBA Designer supports the advanced configurable IP in ARM portfolio including the AMBA 3 AXI High Performance Configurable Interconnect (PL301) and the configurable memory controllers (PL340, PL341 and PL350).

Used in tandem these solutions are capable of delivering end-to-end IP optimization by enabling the user to explore numerous IP configurations, architecting and re-architecting until the desired system configuration is achieved.
