Build Home Automation Services on a Matter Compliant Smart Home Hub Using Python
Session: Presentation and Demo
Speaker:
- Sandeep Mistry, Principal Software Engineer, Arm
- Nathan Hart, Product Manager, Canonical
Matter is an application-layer protocol for smart home products, and the 1.0 specification was just released. All compliant devices can be controlled using this protocol and the associated data models.
Companies can now build home automation services for Matter using a Cortex-A based platform such as the Raspberry Pi Model B and a Linux distribution supporting Matter such as Ubuntu.
Join us for a step-by-step walkthrough to create an Ubuntu-based Matter hub and a smart home end device using Snaps and Python scripts. We'll create the hub using Arm Virtual Hardware to emulate a Raspberry Pi, and we'll learn how to connect the virtual hardware to a physical Raspberry Pi end device.
Shifting IoT Software Development to the Cloud with Arm Virtual Hardware Enabled GitHub Actions
Session: Presentation and Demo
Speaker:
- Clay Nelson, VP of Enterprise Sales, Central & Automotive GTM Lead, GitHub
- Max Schirm, Senior Solutions Engineer, GitHub
At GitHub’s annual user conference in November, 2022, GitHub announced their partnership with arm to revolutionize IoT software development by making Arm Virtual Hardware (AVH) Development tools (Arm cross-compiler and Arm Virtual Hardware) natively available inside GitHub Actions cloud hosted runners to create an efficient CI workflow.
Join this Tech Talk and demo to find out more and gain insight into the following:
- Illustrate a comparison of traditional embedded workflows to modern cloud native workflows
- Basic concepts of CI/CD with GitHub Actions with AVH
- The benefits of implementing CI/CD in the cloud
- A roadmap of planned workload and horizontal scaling without fixed license constraints
How to reduce Friction at the Edge and Bootstrap Your IoT Projects
Session: Presentation and Demo
Speaker:
Marco Carrer, CTO, Eurotech Luca Dazi, Senior Principal Architect, Eurotech
Are you getting stuck in your Industrial IoT Projects because of the fragmentation of the field, the concerns over the cybersecurity, and the complexity of OT/IT integration? Attend this talk from Eurotech to learn how, together with Arm SystemReady, PSA and PARSEC, you can:
- Create Digital Twins of field devices into IoT Cloud vendors using Eurotech’s edge open- source framework, ESF
- Package, distribute, and manage your edge applications and AI workloads as containers
- Secure manage devices over their life cycle in compliance with the state-of-the-art standards such as PSA, PARSEC and SystemReady
- Enrol devices with zero-touch provisioning at scale
Fast Development of Noise Detection ML Models: Qeexo AutoML and Arm Virtual Hardware
Session: Presentation and Demo
Speakers:
In this talk, Qeexo will demonstrate their unique integration with Arm Virtu
al Hardware, allowing quick prototyping of ML models on the Arm Cortex-M55 processor and Arm Ethos-U55 microNPU. Qeexo will showcase the rapid development that is possible of a specific noise detection ML model using the no-code Qeexo AutoML flow. They will then demonstrate how you can use Qeexo AutoML and their integration of output libraries into the Keil IDE using CMSIS Packs and running the final custom binary on Arm Virtual Hardware.
Tech Talks On-Demand
There are significant challenges in hardware-aware model design especially for AI accelerators. This talk presents a new paradigm called RANs which manipulates the amount of non-linearity in deep networks to improve hardware-awareness and efficiency.
Leverage the capabilities of the Ethos-U65 microNPU combined with Cortex-A55 CPUs on NXP's new i.MX 93 applications processor. This talk also covers how to accelerate application development by leveraging solutions and analytics from Arcturus for edge vision applications.
This talk demonstrates how Bondzai's latest AI system, DavinSy solves current tinyML problems (data acquisition, network optimization and model drift) by unlocking training on Arm-powered embedded devices from real live data.
