MIO Therapy is a virtual assistant for physical and occupational therapists that combines an app with Arm’s motion sensor technology.

Patients wear sensors on targeted joints and areas of the body, such as wrists, knees, hips, and the back. They then play games and perform exercises that allow the sensors to accurately track and calculate the range of motion.

The clinician uses the recorded data to analyze performance and prescribe the optimal course of therapy, and can follow the client’s progress using cloud-based data. The gamification aspect helps keep patients engaged in their exercises, helping to reduce treatment time through increased compliance.

By integrating advancements in wearable technology with traditional physical therapy, MIO is creating a patient-centered and data-driven solution for home-based rehabilitation that’s both fun and effective.
