Food allergies are on the rise, requiring constant vigilance and management by suffers and their families. There is no cure and reactions can be severe, including life-threatening anaphylaxis which requires continual and immediate access to an injectable medication.
Aterica has developed the Veta Smart Case with app to store the EpiPen or Mylan auto injector and help ensure its always available and ready to go when needed.
Veta notifies victims and the support circle if it is left behind, alerts them if it’s ever removed, locates it quickly when misplaced, and lets them know when the medication is outside of the appropriate temperature range or about to expire.
Veta uses the Nordic Semiconductor nRF51822 SoC, which is powered by an ARM® Cortex® M0-based processor.
