18 Jul: SWIM.AI SECURES $10M IN SERIES B FUNDING Arm recently invested in SWIM.AI’s Series B to accelerate developers in creating the apps that will define the edge computing era. SWIM.AI combines local data processing/analytics, edge computing and machine learning to efficiently deliver real-time business insights from edge data on edge devices.

25 Jun: Create Secured IoT Endpoints with the First 32-bit MCU to Feature Robust, Chip-level Security and Arm TrustZone Technology To address the growing need for security as the IoT scales, the new SAM L10 and SAM L11 MCU families are now available from Microchip Technology. The new MCU families are based on the Arm Cortex-M23 core, with the SAM L11 featuring Arm TrustZone for Armv8-M, a programmable environment that provides hardware isolation between certified libraries, IP and application code.

31 May: NGD Systems Delivers Industry-First 16TB NVMe Computational Storage Device in a 2.5” U.2 SSD NGD Systems announced the general availability (GA) of the 16 terabyte (TB) Catalina-2 U.2 NVMe solid state drive (SSD). The use of Arm multi-core processors in Catalina-2 provides users with a well-understood development environment and the combination of exceptional performance with low power consumption.

30 May: Imec demonstrates compatibility of state-of-the-art 0.8V-transceiver, with industry standard Arm Cordio IP for BLE 5 At this year's Bluetooth Asia event, imec will demonstrate a new ultralow-power radio for IoT applications with Arm. The radio combines imec's latest transceiver frontend, operating from a nominal supply as low as 0.8V, with Arm's qualified and silicon-proven Cordio® Bluetooth low energy 5 digital baseband.

23 April: GlobalSign’s Cloud-based, Highly Scalable PKI Solution integrated with Arm Mbed Cloud GMO GlobalSign announced that its cloud-based, highly scalable Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solution has been integrated with the Arm Mbed Cloud platform. This will enable any third-party developer using Arm’s Mbed Cloud to quickly automate the issuance of digital certificates from GlobalSign, along with certificate management services.
17 April: Signing pledge to fight cyberattacks, 34 leading companies promise equal protection for customers worldwide More than 30 global technology and security companies, including Arm, Cisco, Facebook, HP, HPE, Microsoft, Nokia, Oracle, and Trend Micro, signed a Cybersecurity Tech Accord, a watershed agreement among the largest-ever group of companies agreeing to defend all customers everywhere from malicious attacks by cybercriminal enterprises and nation-states.

16 April: Academia and Industry Collaborate to Drive UK Supercomputer Adoption Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced a collaboration with Arm, SUSE, and three leading UK universities to jointly develop and deploy one of the largest Arm-based high- performance computing (HPC) installations in the world. The program will accelerate the adoption of supercomputer applications in the UK, driving economic growth and productivity.
12 April: Moxa Introduces LTE-Ready Arm Linux IIoT Gateways at Hannover Messe 2018 Moxa will showcase their new LTE-Ready Arm Linux IIoT Gateways on the Arm booth (hall 6, stand A46) at Hannover Messe from April 23 to 27. The solution simplifies development for a diverse array of IIoT gateway applications, and uses Arm Cortex-A processors, which are highly optimized for performance and power efficiency.
28 March: The Alliance for Open Media Kickstarts Video Innovation Era with “AV1” Release The Alliance for Open Media, of which Arm is a founding member, has announced the public release of the AOMedia Video Codec 1.0 (AV1) specification, which delivers cross-platform, 4K UHD or higher online video, royalty-free, while lowering data usage.
13 February: Gen-Z Consortium Announces the Public Release of its Core Specification 1.0 Today’s hyperconnected world demands new levels of performance and scalability to analyze and process vast amounts of data in real-time. Open standards, such as Gen-Z, of which Arm is an original member, are key to delivering the compute and storage infrastructure solutions required to address this challenge.

5 February: Ampere Launches to Accelerate Hyperscale Cloud Computing Innovations Ampere processors offer a modern architecture with a unique, high performance, custom core Armv8-A 64-bit server operating at up to 3.3 GHz, 1TB of memory at a power envelope of 125 watts. The processors are sampling now and will be in production in the second half of the year.
31 January: Synopsys Announces Verification IP and Test Suite for Arm AMBA ACE5 and AXI5 Synopsys announced availability of its Verification IP and source code Test Suite for Arm AMBA ACE5 (AXI Coherency Extensions) and AXI5. Synopsys has collaborated with Arm to deliver the next-generation ACE5 and AXI5 VIP with increased performance for faster verification closure.
25 January: Samsung Strengthens its Foundry Customer Support with New SAFE Foundry Ecosystem Program Samsung launches its Samsung Advanced Foundry Ecosystem (SAFE) program.
