In addition, ARM will reveal what lies ahead for its processor architecture across a diverse range of business segments, including the mobile and embedded markets, in a series of roadmap and strategy presentations following the day 2 keynote presentation.

Ballroom G & H (first floor of the Santa Clara Convention Center)

Keynote Session: “Future Innovation Is Dependent on Inspiring the Youth”

Bill Miller, Director of FIRST Robotics Competition, FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology)

Over the last decade there has been a steady decline in engineering and computer programming graduates. What was once seen as the “holy grail” of jobs promising riches and fame is now seen as a boring and fruitless occupation.

Bill Miller of FIRST will provide valuable insight into infusing passion for science and engineering back into the youth, and how ARM is at the foundation of providing the technology and solutions that spawn their creativity.

A not-for-profit public charity, FIRST designs programs that motivate young people to pursue education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math, while building self-confidence, knowledge and life skills. FIRST’s vision is to transform our culture by creating a world where science and technology are celebrated and where young people dream of becoming science and technology heroes.
