If you have a larger number of engineers who need to be trained, it may be more convenient for you to have ARM run a closed course specifically for your company at training facilities of your choice. It is also possible for such courses to concentrate on a specific ARM core, as opposed to a whole ARM core family as most of our open courses do. Any course of three days or more can be provided on-site.

To discuss your specific closed training course needs, please let us know your requirements.

Pricing
Closed courses are charged at a flat rate of $8250 per day plus a fixed fee towards additional expenses. The fee covers tuition for up to 12 students. Additional students, to a maximum of 24, are charged at $300 per day.

These prices are correct as of January 2008.

Note
You are advised to read our Terms and Conditions before booking a course.

Training Room Requirements
The following facilities need to be available in the room used to hold a training course:

  • L.C.D projector and screen
  • Whiteboard - for additional diagrams and explanations.
  • Flipcharts - for noting points and questions to return to later
  • Refreshments for the presenters.
  • PCs for workbook practical work - see below for specification.

Computers for Workbook Practical Work
Practical sessions during training courses are run on PCs. The normal practice is for two attendees to share one PC. If the course is not held in ARM facilities then the customer must supply the PCs. The minimum specification of the PCs required is:

  • Pentium Plus Processor, 500+MHz or better
  • Either
    • 1. Pre-installed Windows 2000 - Service Pack 4
    • 2. Pre-installed Windows XP - Service Pack 1a or 2
  • Minimum of 500MB Free Disc Space
  • Minimum of 256MB RAM
  • CD-ROM Drive to allow tools and workbook files to be installed (installation via a shared network server with CD-ROM drive is an acceptable alternative)
  • Either floppy drive or USB port for installation of a temporary tools license
