New updates for RVDS 4.0 and 4.0 Professional are now available from the ARM website at:

These patches can be used to update your RVDS 4.0 or RVDS 4.0 Professional installation, whether previously patched or original.

Please note that these patches are not suitable for use with previous releases of RVDS (3.1 or earlier).

A new Compilation Tools patch (Build 529) for RVDS 4.0 is now available from the ARM website at:

This patch can be used to update any RVDS 4.0 or RVDS 4.0 Professional installation, whether previously patched or an original installation.  It is not suitable for use with previous releases of RVCT/RVDS (3.1 or earlier).  Also, this patch is not compatible with Keil MDK products.

A new plugin and application note on how to use the ARM compiler to build GNU/Linux applications in Scratchbox on a Linux host machine is now available at:

Scratchbox is an OpenSource framework, used to cross-compile applications for Embedded Linux.

This patch is intended for use with RVDS 3.1 and RVDS 3.1 Professional products. It can be used to update any RVDS 3.1 or RVDS 3.1 Professional installation, whether previously patched or an original installation.  It is not suitable for use with previous releases of RVCT/RVDS (3.0 or earlier).  Also, this patch is not compatible with the RVDS 3.1 Evaluation CD or Keil MDK products.

Note that these patches are not suitable for use with the RealView Microcontroller Development Kit (MDK).
