In general, ARM development tools will work on the Windows and Red Hat Linux platforms that were in common use at the time of development. Testing will have been carried out on all of the supported platforms for that product. Attempting to install or use ARM development tools on platforms released since the release of the tools may or may not be successful, although using closely related platforms (for example, a different service pack of a particular version of Windows) should be possible. You are not prohibited from using the tools on unsupported platforms, but should you encounter any platform-specific issues, ARM Support would not be able to assist you. The following is a list of common ARM development tools and the platforms on which they are officially supported. Please note that at present, ARM development tools are supported on 32-bit operating systems only, although RVDS 3.1 has also been tested on 64-bit Red Hat Linux machines. For supported platform information on products not listed here, please check your product's Installation Guide or contact your supplier. Note: With the exception of RVCT 3.1 b700, Windows Vista is currently an unsupported platform. For more information please see the FAQ: Is Windows Vista a supported platform for RVDS 3.1?
