Applies to: ARM Developer Suite (ADS), RealView Developer Suite (RVDS) 2.0, RealView Developer Suite (RVDS) 2.1, RealView Developer Suite (RVDS) 2.2, RealView Development Suite (RVDS) 3.0, RealView Development Suite (RVDS) 3.1, RealView Development Suite (RVDS) 3.1 Professional, Tool Licensing (License Management)

An RVDS 3.1 Professional license will enable the use of RVDS 3.1 Professional, 3.1, 3.0, 2.2, 2.1.1, 2.1 or 2.0.
An RVDS 3.1 license will enable the use of RVDS 3.1, 3.0, 2.2, 2.1.1, 2.1 or 2.0.
An RVDS 3.0 license will enable the use of RVDS 3.0, 2.2, 2.1.1, 2.1 or 2.0.
An RVDS 2.2 license will enable the use of RVDS 2.2, 2.1.1, 2.1 or 2.0.
An RVDS 2.1 license will enable the use of RVDS 2.1.1, 2.1 or 2.0.
An RVDS 2.0 license will enable the use of RVDS 2.0.

In addition, RVDS 3.x and 2.x licenses will enable these earlier ARM development tools:

  • RVCT 2.0.1
  • RVCT 2.0
  • RVCT 1.2
  • RVD 1.6.1
  • RVD 1.6
  • ADS 1.2
  • ADS 1.1 [note: an RVDS license will not license ARM Debugger for Windows/UNIX (ADW/ADU)]
  • ADS 1.0.1 [note: an RVDS license will not license ARM Debugger for Windows/UNIX (ADW/ADU)]

Note 1: There are versions of RVDS which ship with CodeWarrior IDE and versions which ship without it (see link below). Versions of RVDS which do not ship with CodeWarrior will not allow the use of CodeWarrior.

Note 2: An RVDS license will not enable an evaluation version of the tools or any version of RVDK. 

Note 3:  You are not entitled to enable seats which have been since replaced by upgrade/update seats.
