downarrowWhen should I use the LVDS probe?
Applies to: JTAG Debug Issues, RealView ICE (RVI)

The LVDS probe lets you debug systems with a faster JTAG clock (as long as the target permits it). For TCK speeds of 20MHz or more you need the LVDS probe. For slow TCK frequencies you can use either the standard probe or the LVDS probe.

The LVDS probe also has a longer cable, so it enables debugging when the ICE is far away from the target.

The normal probe and the LVDS probe have the same pin-out and mechanical characteristics.
