Applies to: Multi-ICE, RVD Debug, RealView Developer Suite (RVDS) 2.0, RealView Developer Suite (RVDS) 2.1, RealView Developer Suite (RVDS) 2.2, RealView Development Suite (RVDS) 3.0, RealView Development Suite (RVDS) 3.1

RealView Debugger (RVD) is designed to work with ARM's RealView ICE (RVI) JTAG run control units.

RVD v3.1 will no longer support Multi-ICE JTAG run control units.

Multi-ICE uses the obsolete Remote Debug Interface (RDI) protocol to communicate with the debugger. This protocol is also used by some 3rd party JTAG run control units. Earlier versions of RVD (up to version v3.0.1) provided legacy support for RDI connections. RDI connections are no longer supported by RVD v3.1.
