downarrowWhy can't I connect to my MultiTrace unit?
Applies to: ARM Developer Suite (ADS), AXD Debug, MultiTrace, Trace Debug Tools (TDT)

If connection to the MultiTrace unit is not successful there are a number of things to check:

  1. Ensure the unit is powered up and use the TPAConfig utility to check network connectivity.
  2. If the MultiTrace software was installed by a user with 'Administrator' privileges users with 'standard' privileges may not be able to establish a connection to the MultiTrace unit. To solve this problem uninstall and re-install the MultiTrace software (this does not require Administrator privileges).
  3. By default MultiTrace is configured to work with a DHCP server. If such a server is not available, a static IP address must be configured using the supplied serial cable and the TPAConfig utility.
