downarrowWhy does RVD provide Localhost (RVISS) and ISSM simulator connections?
Applies to: ARMulator/RVISS, Instruction Set System Model (ISSM), RVD Debug, RealView Development Suite (RVDS) 3.0, RealView Development Suite (RVDS) 3.1, RealView Development Suite (RVDS) 3.1 Professional

RealView Development Suite includes two instruction set simulators, RVISS (formally known as ARMulator) and ISSM.

RVISS uses the localhost connection and supports cores from ARM7 through to ARM11. For the Cortex family of cores a new ISSM (Instruction Set Simulation Model) connection is provided.
