downarrowWhy does RVDS fail to install on a Windows machine configured as Turkish?
Applies to: Installer, RealView Developer Suite (RVDS) 2.0, RealView Developer Suite (RVDS) 2.1, RealView Developer Suite (RVDS) 2.2, RealView Development Suite (RVDS) 3.0

There is an issue with the RVDS installer, which can lead to it failing on machines with regional settings set to Turkish.  Normally (but not always) the following error message will be displayed:

'Search paths can only be constructed from lists of directories'

The workaround for this is to set the regional settings to English prior to installing, and then back to Turkish once the install is complete.  Go to:

Start menu -> Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options

Switch to the 'Regional Options' tab, and set 'Standards and Formats' to 'English (United Kingdom)'.
