If when installing the RealView-ICE USB drivers you receive the following errors repeatedly There was a problem installing this hardware An error occurred during the installation of the device The system cannot find the file specified It is possible that the registry on the PC which the driver is being installed on is corrupt. This can be caused by some installers removing a registry key completely when in fact they should only clear its content. To check this, run the windows registry editor 'regedit': Using the windows Start Menu | Run dialog. Type regedit to run the windows registry editor application. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion and ensure that a RunOnce key exists under the CurrentVersion key. If it doesn’t, add it by right clicking on the CurrentVersion key and select ‘New | Key’. Name the key RunOnce and leave its value as the default. Close regedit. If the key was missing you should now be able to install the RealView-ICE USB driver. Please note: If you have any doubts about manually editing your PC registry please contact your Systems Administrator who can make an appropriate registry backup copy, and perform the suggested change described above.
