N.B. This patch to RVI 1.4 is only required if using progcards_rvi.
The RVI 1.4.1 patch updates the RVI 1.4 firmware to allow the progcards_rvi utility to reprogram devices on ARM development boards by adding support for the relevant devices to the RVI auto-detection
function.
Previous releases of the RVI firmware, up to and including 1.4, are unable to auto-detect many of the programmable devices
on ARM development boards. These devices appear in the JTAG scan chain when the boards are in configuration mode, and therefore
need to be recognised when progcards_rvi is used.
Installation Instructions
In order to install this patch, you will first of need to obtain and install the RVI 1.4 firmware.
To upgrade the RVI firmware you have to use the RVI Update utility supplied with the RealView ICE software.

The RealView ICE user guide covers the use of this utility. Details can be found in the chapter 7.1 - 'Installing an update or patch'.
Note that versions of RVI after 1.4 will automatically contain the necessary auto-detection code and hence this patch will
not be required.
