High performance in low-cost AMBA AHB-based designs
- ARM926/AHB to ARM1136/AHB simple migration
- System IP, reference methodologies, and 3rd party design support enable 600MHz+ in 90G, up to 1GHz at 65nm in under 2 sq.mm
Low risk and fast time to market
- Pre-verified supporting components and reference implementation flows
- Proven, well-understood and widely deployed core, in the market since 2002
Compelling end-user experience
- Significant uplift over ARM926EJ-S™ processor in integer performance, media codecs, and OS performance
- Supported by broad ARM software ecosystem
The ARM1136 is software compatible with earlier ARM cores, and with the ARM and Thumb instructions from the latest ARM Cortex-A series processors. ARM1136 does not support Neon or Thumb-2 instructions from the Cortex-A series. Recommended for new applications processor and SoC designs, the Cortex-A5 processor delivers higher performance at lower power in less area than the ARM1136 or ARM1176..
