Description: Thomson have recently announced they are teaming up with Texas Instruments for their WiFi Tablet. The WiFi Tablet will be based on TI's TMS320DM6441 processor. The DM6441 is a SoC which consists of an ARM9 core and a TMS320C64x+ digital signal processor (DSP) core plus video/imaging co-processors. The Wifi Tablet has been designed to provide users with IPTV around the home. The tablet features; an 8-inch, 800 x 480 resolution, widescreen display and high-quality stereo speakers and combines an all in one innovative home media center, a residential broadband gateway with integrated DECT handset, and integrated storage. The WiFi Tablet is expected to go to market at the end of Q2, 2008.
