Magellan eXplorist Pro 10

(View Larger Magellan eXplorist Pro 10 Image) Magellan has re-entered the GIS (geographic information system) market with the ARM Powered eXplorist Pro 10, a rugged, lightweight and waterproof GPS handheld device specifically designed for GPS/GIS data collection.  

The device, featuring a 3-inch WQVGA transflective color touchscreen, is powered by a 533 MHz Samsung S3C2450 mobile application processor – an ARM9 microprocessor based on Samsung’s 65nm low-power CMOS process.  

The unit has built-in Bluetooth wireless technology and can be connected to other Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as laser rangefinders and barcode scanners.
