Ford Sync In-Car Communications & Entertainment System
Description: Ford and Microsoft have collaborated on the "Sync" in-car communications and entertainment system which enables you to stay connected to your handheld devices, even when you’re on the road. Sync is a voice-activated, hands-free, in-car communications and entertainment system which fully integrates your mobile phone and digital media player. One touch of the Telephone button on the steering wheel is all it takes to make a call. Names and numbers in a mobile phone’s address book will be transferred wirelessly and automatically to the vehicle. Users will be able to access their mobile phones or digital music players – including genre, album, artist and song title, via voice commands. Sync will also host, nearly any digital media player, including the Apple iPod®, Microsoft Zune, PlaysForSure players and most USB storage devices. The first models which will offer the "Sync" system (As an option on 2008-models) will be; Ford, Lincoln and Mercury models: Edge, Explorer, Five Hundred, Focus, Freestyle, Fusion, Milan, MKX, MKZ, Montego, Mountaineer, and Sport-Trac.
