SEGGER Supports Atmel’s Cortex-M3 Microcontroller

SEGGER Microcontroller, a member of the ARM Connected Community, has released middleware and debugging products for the AT91SAM3U-EK, Atmel’s evaluation kit based on the ARM Cortex-M3 based microcontroller AT91SAM3U.

SEGGER’s complete portfolio set includes em, bOS (RTOS), embOS/IP (TCP/IP stack), emWin (GUI), emFile (File System), emUSB device (USB device stack) and emUSB host (USB host stack). Debugging solutions include J-Link emulator and the JTrace for Cortex–M3, which enables instruction tracing via ARM's embedded trace macrocell, the company said.

Flash breakpoints allow setting an unlimited number of breakpoints in flash. Production choices include the Flasher, a stand-alone programming tool that provides fast and easy programming options for ARM and Cortex-M3 devices or J-Link with J-Flash, which can be used to program the flash memory of the devices, added the company.
