Timesys Provides Embedded Linux For Freescale i.MX31 PDK Timesys, a member of the ARM Connected Community, is providing LinuxLink support for the Freescale i.MX31 PDK. The i.MX31 PDK, with Smart Speed technology, is a completely integrated hardware and software solution that simplifies product development. The kit includes an ARM11 based Freescale i.MX31 Applications Processor with complete design, debug, demo capability. With this LinuxLink, subscribers get web-based access to an easy-to-install multimedia Linux platform which includes a mini desktop, Web browser, streaming audio player and video player. Built by Timesys’ Online Linux Factory, the platform is provided with a 2.6.24 Linux kernel, GNU toolchain and hundreds of ready-to-use root filesystem (RFS) packages. Additionally, subscribers have access to TimeStorm development tools, web-based support and a vast suite of documentation to customize and test their embedded Linux platform for a given multimedia application.
