Telecoms Solutions Provider In China Adopts SPIRIT Voice

SPIRIT DSP, a member of the ARM Connected Community, has confirmed that China’s provider of telecom solutions, Vincin United Technology Co., Ltd. (VUTC), has licensed TeamSpirit Mobile Voice Engine for its mobile communication solution over GSM network.

SPIRIT’s TeamSpirit Mobile Voice Engine has been integrated into VUTC’s mobile softphones, running over GSM CSD (Circuit Switched Data) channel (9.6kbps) on Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6.0 platforms. TeamSpirit Mobile delivers the core voice functionality inside the mobile devices to ensure highest possible voice quality and consistent, reliable communications over GSM networks, the company explained. Integrating network and voice subsystems SPIRIT’s solution ensures the lowest device CPU load and provides all the required functionality, giving more value to end-users.

TeamSpirit Mobile Voice Engine offers a high degree of optimization for many mobile platforms and incorporates ARM-based processors.
