MontaVista Mobilinux Optimized for Freescale i.MX31 MontaVista Software, Inc., a member of the ARM Connected Community, has confirmed that MontaVista Mobilinux 5.0 has been optimized to develop low-cost, low-power consumer products on the Freescale i.MX31 processor. MontaVista Mobilinux is an optimized Linux operating system including specialized features such as dynamic power management for designing wireless handsets and other mobile devices such as MIDs (mobile Internet devices), GPS devices, portable medical products, and automotive infotainment. Freescale's i.MX family, based on ARM core technology, is engineered to offer Smart Speed, low-power consumption with high performance together with a high degree of integration to reduce your design time significantly, the company said.
