Multenet Debuts ARM9 Serial To Ethernet Converter

Multenet has rolled out the EtherPAD Lite ARM9 serial to Ethernet converter, which has been introduced to replace the ARM7 version.

The ARM9 EtherPAD Lite comes standard with 8MB of flash, 16MB of RAM. It will also support full Modbus functionality as standard. The ARM9 EtherPAD Lite features isolation on the Serial (250V / 600V) and Ethernet port (1500V), which effectively protect devices from power surges and ground loops, according to Multenet. The electronics are housed in a robust aluminium enclosure

Multenet said the the EtherPAD Lite is an excellent entry-level connectivity device that can be used in standalone, DIN rail or rack-mount applications.

The EtherPAD Lite uses an external power supply and has a 10/100 Base-T Ethernet interface and an RS232/RS422/ RS485 serial interface connecting an asynchronous serial device to an Ethernet network.
