ESC Giving Away ARM Cortex-A8 Based Beagle Board To Visitors The organisers of the Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) Boston in October have confirmed they are giving away ARM Cortex-A8 based Beagle Boards to attendees in a Build Your Own Embedded System Program as part of their all-access or five-day pass. The Beagle Board is a powerful, low-cost and fanless embedded development board smaller than a drink coaster. It is based on the Texas Instruments’ OMAP3530 application processor featuring an ARM Cortex-A8 clocked at up to 600 Mhz, a 2D/3D graphics engine and high-performance TMS320C64x+ DSP core. This will be the first time users have had access to a low cost development board featuring a high-end ARM processor. In order to build out their kits, BYOES participants will choose from a host of classes specifically designed to develop the homemade platforms. Attendees will be able to choose from classes about the Windows XP Standard and application development to understanding the ins and outs of flash file system integration and embedded USB. ESC runs from 26-30 October 2008 at the Hynes Convention Center, Boston. For more details go to: http://www.cmp-egevents.com/web/escb/registration |
