ARM Based PNDs With 3D Images

Navigon, headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, have debuted two Personal Navigation Devices (PNDs), featuring Reality View, which is said to provide photo realistic 3D images.

The 3D image feature, dubbed Reality View, is also said to help drivers with confusing highway interchanges and correct lane choices by offering visualization of the route as well as actual road sign text.

The Windows CE 5.0-based Navigon 2100max and 2120max, incorporating a 400 Mhz Samsung ARM based processor, also include Direct Help, a feature which pinpoints a user’s location and provides links to nearby services, such as road side assistance and medical centers.

Other features on the 4.3 inch screen units include Navigon's FreshMaps service, providing up to twelve map and POI updates over a three-year period to ensure accurate driving directions over a period of time.
