Intrinsyc Demos Feature Phone Software Intrinsyc Software International, Inc. is demonstrating its new feature phone software platform at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this week. Intrinsyc's feature phone software platform provides the flexibility for handset manufacturers and carriers to "plug in" any mobile phone application of their choice such as mobile email, SMS and web browsing, the company said. Intrinsyc's platform supports the Implicit Media Player, which offers movies, music, pictures, slideshows, playlists, PVR-2-Go, UPnP, advanced trick modes, rich annotation and full meta-data based browsing directly from a mobile phone handset. The Implicit Media Player is part of the Implicit Content Management Platform that includes a web service for creating and managing digital media libraries, accessing premium music and movies and seamless photo sharing. The Implicit Media Player is suitable for media-rich devices including Portable Media Players, Digital Media Adapters, Media PCs, laptops, and media-enabled phones and supports a number of platforms, including ARM. "By leveraging Windows CE and its leading development tools, Intrinsyc is providing a simple way to customize a common software platform. Our UX Designer supports the multiple new applications, features and services that are in high-demand by phone consumers. The Implicit Media Player is a great example of this - users can easily connect to the media content stored on any of their other entertainment devices, and play it straight from their phone on the go,” explained Randy Kath, VP of Mobile Software Products, Intrinsyc. "The intuitive user interface of our Media Player complements Intrinsyc's phone user interface, and together they provide advanced flexibility and customization for manufacturers looking to build great handsets with compelling in-hand mobile entertainment," added Edward Balassanian, president and CEO, Implicit Networks. |
