What is the scope of your role?
I am Product Director at IAR Systems.

Synopsis of your career path?
I have a Master of Computer Science degree from Uppsala University, and have worked at IAR Systems since 2001, having previously held the position of Business Unit Manager for IAR Embedded Workbench. Prior to this I worked for MIMER Information Technology AB, and for Programator Consulting AB, specializing in relational databases.

What attracted you to working in the IT industry?
My interest in technology and the fast progress in this industry.

What skill couldn't you do without in your job?
It is crucial in my position to have a genuine technical background, combined with a good market understanding. My long experience in software product development is very beneficial.

What is your greatest professional achievement?
I am happy to be part of IAR Systems achievement in the ARM market, moving from being a small player to become the market leader in the ARM MCU market.

What 1-2 key lessons would you pass onto a colleague or recent college/university graduate about working in your business?
A. Partnership is a key to success in the embedded industry.
