MELPe by VOCAL Technologies

Audio and Voice Solutions

Product Description

Mixed-Excitation Linear Predictive enhanced (MELPe) codec provides real-time multi-channel voice compression for mobile and embedded VoIP and other voice applications.  The algorithm is very efficient and appropriate for use in ARM based systems such as mobile phones and radios with limited power.

MELPe provides 600, 1200, and 2400 bps data rates with compressed bit-stream transcoding between the different rates. MELPe is robust in difficult background noise environments such as those frequently encountered in commercial and military communication systems.
