Product Description

CONNECT MIDDLEWARE is a suite of feature rich middleware components specifically designed for embedded platforms including TCP/ip, USB and file systems.

CONNECT MIDDLEWARE is delivered integrated with either OPENRTOS, for commercial products, or SAFERTOS, for products requiring certification to international safety standards such as IEC 61508.

When integrating middleware with SAFERTOS, we use the SAFERTOS MPU functionality to isolate middleware code from the kernal, and other safety critical code segments. Using the isolation properties of SAFERTOS allows our CONNECT MIDDLEWARE components to become a cost effective solution in safety critical systems.

All of our software is supplied as source code under a straightforward perpetual licence with no runtime fees or royalties. Customers receive comprehensive documentation and our full support after delivery.  

FAT is a high performance, 12/16/32 based, DOS compatible file system designed for use with PC compatible media such as SD cards and most other common flash based devices.

SafeFAT Fail-safe File System. Robust, full featured, fail-safe FAT file system that provides the same features as a standard FAT file system but also implements a system of journaling/transaction operations which ensures that all memory operations will be performed correctly and that the system can recover coherently from unexpected events such as a reset or power loss.

SafeFLASH Fail-safe File System. Designed for high performance and 100% fail-safety. It can be used with all NOR and NAND flash as well as any media that can simulate a block-structured array. SafeFLASH supports dynamic and static wear-leveling and provides a highly efficient solution for situations where data integrity is critical.

USB Host, Device and OTG capability with a wide range of class drivers for connection to peripherals.

Embedded networking for CONNECT MIDDLEWARE is provided by InterNiche. InterNiche offer a full range of small footprint connectivity, security and networking application source code modules. The TCP/IP module, NicheStack™ is available as IPv4, IPv6 or Dual IPv6/v4 and combines small size, portability and high performance without any compromise in RFC compliance.

NicheStack™ includes FTP, Telnet, DNS, DHCP, IGMPv1 and IGMPv2 as standard with PPP, Web Server, Web Browser, DHCP Server, Email, SNMP and many other modules available if required.
