Product Description

The SafeXcel™ IP (3)DES Accelerators are designed to meet the unique requirements of semiconductor manufacturers and provide unmatched reliability, fast integration, low gate count, cost-effectiveness, and maximum performance. Part of AuthenTec's broad IP design product portfolio, the SafeXcel IP (3)DES Accelerators are typically deployed in processors used in networking and storage appliances that require hardware acceleration for strong cryptography-based security.
 
The SafeXcel IP (3)DES Accelerators implement the Data Encryption Standard (DES) algorithm, as specified in Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) Publication 46-3 and the modes specified in NIST Special Publications SP800-38A. The accelerators include I/O registers, encryption and decryption cores, and the logic for feedback modes and key scheduling. Cores are available in several performance grades.
 
SafeXcel-IP-16
ECB/CBC/CFB/OFB mode DES accelerators
The SafeXcel-IP-16 accelerates DES and single pass 3DES in ECB, CBC, 1, 8 and 64 bit OFB and CFB modes as specified in FIPS-197, and NIST SP800-38A. It supports 64 (DES), and  192 (3DES) bit keys in all modes. The core is available in four performance grades (the smallest one is less  than 10K gates).
