These two models are designed in the same PCB placement and the only different is the on-chip processor. GQ8148 is with Texas Instruments high performance digital signal processor (DSP) C674 at 750Mhz which is designed especially for those image processing intensive applications like industrial automation, machine image, medical/health care, transportation, digital signage, digital video recording and security.

As for GQ3874 that without DSP core is still offering a SGX530 3D Graphics Engine for the general applications like HMI, KIOSK/vending machine, in-vehicle entertainment and fleet management.

In summary, GQ3874/8148 offers:
