The Atmel^® SAM3U is the industry’s first Cortex™-M3 Flash microcontroller with on-chip 480Mbps USB Device-and-Transceiver. It operates at a maximum speed of 96MHz and features two 128KB of dual-bank flash and 52KB of SRAM. In addition to HS USB Device, the Atmel SAM3U integrates HS multimedia card interface for SDIO/SD/MMC, a 16-bit external bus interface supporting NAND flash, three USARTs, two TWIs, four SPIs, I2S, four PWM timers, three 16-bit timers, RTC, and eight 12-bit and eight 10-bit ADCs. The Atmel SAM3U family offers native support for Atmel QTouch^® capacitive touch technology that makes it easy to implement touch-based buttons, sliders and wheels in a design. The architecture sustains high-speed data transfers, with multi-layer bus matrix, multiple SRAM banks, PDC, and DMA support parallel tasks to maximize data throughput. The Atmel SAM3U operates from 1.62V to 3.6V and is available in 100- and 144-pin LQFP and BGA packages.
