The Atmel® SAM3N microcontroller is based on the Cortex™-M3 processor, operates at a maximum speed of 48MHz and features up to 256KB of Flash memory and 24KB of SRAM. The peripheral set includes one USART, two UARTs, two SPIs, two TWIs, PWM timer, six 16-bit timers, RTC and a 10-bit ADC. It operates from 1.62V to 3.6V and is available in 48-pin, 64-pin and 100-pin LQFP, QFN and BGA packages.
The Atmel SAM3N is ‘touch-ready’, with native support for Atmel QTouch® capacitive touch technology that makes it easy to implement buttons, sliders and wheels in your design.
The Atmel SAM3N devices in 48- and 64-pin packages are pin-to-pin compatible with the Atmel SAM7S series, facilitating migration to a more powerful and feature-rich microcontroller. Atmel SAM3N MCUs are supported by a full-featured evaluation kit, software libraries, project examples, tools and a worldwide ecosystem to shorten development cycle times.
