HMAC-SHA-256
Intrinsic-ID’s HMAC-SHA-256 core is a highly efficient hardware IP core implementing the keyed version of the Secure Hash Algorithm Standard (SHA) in compliance with Federal Information Processing Standards FIPS PUB 198. It hashes messages in combination with a secret key in order to authenticate messages between parties sharing the same key.
Functionality:
Keyed-Hash functionality for secure and efficient message authentication
Advantages:
Applications:
HMAC-SHA-256 can be used in a number of devices and applications, coming from the field of smart card technology, automotive, government & military communication systems, content protection and more:
Additional security is provided by means of a shared secret key, making valid authentication only possible for parties holding the same key.
