Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 is a new solution to power Enterprise Handheld Devices, based on Windows Mobile 6.5 and includes a consistent SDK and set of APIs between the two platforms to provide application compatibility. Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 and Windows Mobile 6.5 also share the same application development environment, with support for native and managed code (WinForms) applications. This provides developers familiar tools like Visual Studio 2008 and the .NET Compact Framework 3.5, so they can leverage their existing knowledge and skills to speed solutions and devices to market.
