The technical specification of Low Complexity Sub Band Coding (SBC) is described in specification of the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP). SBC is a lossy compression system used by Bluetooth audio profiles, for transmission/reception of audio at medium data rates, for CD quality audio.
