OPENRTOS® from WITTENSTEIN High Integrity Systems is the commercially supported and licensed version of  FreeRTOSTM, one of the most popular kernels available for embedded micro-controllers. WITTENSTEIN high integrity systems takes responsibility for validating that the code is working with your chosen processor / compiler combination and delivers a working 'out of the box' demo project with the source code. Developers benefit from a 12 month warranty that covers maintenance, updates and professional technical support

OPENRTOS has minimal ROM, RAM and processing overhead. Typically an OPENRTOS kernel binary image will be in the region of 4K to 9K bytes. OPENRTOS is also very simple to use with the core of the RTOS kernel being contained in only 3 C source files.  

OPENRTOS is available integrated with our CONNECT MIDDLEWARE components including USB, FAT and TCP/IP, providing a complete and supported embedded platform under a full commercial license.
