Comneon’s IMS Device Framework contains a fully compliant Rich Communication Suite (RCS) solution that works on a variety of different devices following the latest GSMA standards and recommendations. In addition, Comneon’s IMS Device Framework supports the latest satellite networks and complies to GSMA’s VoLTE (Voice over LTE), the solution for Voice over LTE.
Comneon’s IMS Device Framework supports a wide range of possible applications including, but not limited to:
• RCS (Rich Communication Suite)
• Video and Image Sharing (GSMA standard)
• OMA Instant Messaging including MSRP and
• SMS over IP
• OMA Presence, Group and List Management
• Video Telephony and Video Streaming

Comneon’s IMS Device Framework is an essential part of EB’s Satellite-Terrestrial Reference Smartphone and of the world’s first commercial 4G satellite network, the TerreStar all-IP Satellite Network, covering the United States and Canada, capable of VoIP, SMS over IP and IP based emergency services.
Due to its maturity and rich feature set the IMS Device Framework was also used as a reference client for the French Operators performing the so called three-op-trial. The first time, that RCS features were crossing operator borders.
Consequentially the RCS-Engine has a realized maturity allowing it to work on a new device from the outset. It significantly reduces the costs incurred when integrating a new device to an existing RCS network and offers fast time-to market, resulting in an excellent return of investment for all involved parties.
Comneons IMS Device Framework works across a full range of platforms. It is already successfully running on Windows, Windows Mobile, Linux, BREW, Mac OS X, Android and with a number of other specialized operating systems.
The IMS Device Framework will be delivered with a comprehensive toolkit, test client and corresponding test server software, capable of running on a PC.
The flexibility of Comneon’s IMS Device Framework and Comneon’s RCS-Engine affords full integration on a wide range of mobile and fixed network devices. This includes Mobile Internet Devices, Netbooks, Laptops, networked TV’s, TV Set-top-Boxes and Home Router Equipment connected to DECT devices.
The product roadmap of the Comneon IMS Device Framework contains all requirements for future IMS systems, including the integration of IMS into LTE in accordance to GSMA’s VoLTE.
