Azingo Mobile’s middleware is designed to support a range of mobile target devices, delivering many of the
capabilities of expensive smart phones to more affordable feature phone priced handsets. Its comprehensive frameworks are pre-integrated to the kernel and application suite to reduce the time and costs of brining new mobile phones to market. As a result, handset manufacturers and operators can deliver tailored solutions to multiple market segments with a single software platform.

The middleware supports three application programming interfaces: Native (C/C++), Java and web widgets that use browser services and Javascript technology. It uses mobile-optimized versions of open source technologies orginially developed and proven in desktop/laptop computing.

Azingo Mobile’s middleware design abstracts the look and feel of the user experience from applications logic, thereby supporting the use of themes across all screens for rapid and deep customization. Abstraction is also applied to the platform’s data model to avoid architectural silos. By holding all data in an abstracted data store, security policies, like digital rights management, are applied at a single point. This approach also provides greater flexibility to accommodate future services concepts.

Azingo Mobile’s advanced graphics include alpha blending, transparencies and transitions and support for internationalization and localization, look and feel customization, keypad, keyboard, touchscreen, virtual keyboard
